Jean Cousineau’s exclusive method is designed so that the student integrates the technical elements that are necessary for him through the pieces he learns. In this way, the inevitable and necessary technical aspect of learning the violin becomes much less daunting, since the pieces played provide the technical aspects to work on.
During the first years of learning, the presence of a parent (coach) is required. The latter will actively participate in the musical journey of his child. At first, the parent must learn to guide the child and, later, ensure that the instructions received in lessons are well understood and well applied during daily work at home. We have seen that this way of working is both reassuring for the child and rewarding for the parent-coach (who plays a large part in the success and progress of his child) and, above all, very effective.
This is a visually stimulating and highly educational method.
